(1) According to the location: divided into above-ground oil tanks, semi-above-ground oil tanks and underground oil tanks three.
(2) According to the oil contained in the tank, it is divided into three kinds: original oil tank, fuel oil tank and lubricating oil tank.
(3) According to the use of oil tanks: it is divided into two categories: production oil tanks and storage oil tanks.
(4) Classification of metal oil tanks: divided into horizontal and vertical oil tanks.
(5) The vast majority of vertical oil tanks are: cylindrical, mainly composed of the bottom of the tank, the tank body (wall), and the top of the tank.
Since the development of Daqing oilfield in the 1960s, the construction of oil storage tanks in China has also developed rapidly. Not only many smaller diameter oil tanks have been built, but also underground or semi-underground oil tanks have been built with the requirements of social environment at that time.
From the late 1970s to the 1980s, China's petroleum industry developed rapidly, and the construction of storage tanks underwent great changes. With the implementation of the reform and opening up policy, China's oil import and export volume increases, coupled with the exploitation of offshore oil, so that the construction of oil storage tanks from the origin to the mainland and then to the coast has been rapid development. Secondly, the capacity of storage tanks is also continuously developing. Since 1985, the design and construction technology of 10,000m3 floating roof tank was introduced from Japan and built in Qinhuangdao, more than 20 sets of 10,00m3 floating roof oil tanks have been introduced and built successively, and domestic rigid materials for large-scale storage tanks have been developed.
In the past 30 or 40 years, the trend of large-scale development of metal storage tanks has become a foregone conclusion. For example, in 1962, the United States first built 100,000 m3 floating roof tanks; In 1967, 150,000 m3 floating roof tank was completed in Venezuela; In 1971, 160,000 m3 floating roof tank was built in Japan, with a diameter of 109m and a height of 17.8. The 200,000 m3 giant storage tank built in Saudi Arabia has a diameter of 110 and a height of 22.5. In 1985, China introduced the design and construction technology of 100,000 m3 floating roof tank from Japan, and first built 100,000 m3 single-pan floating roof tank in Qinhuangdao.
The economy of large storage tanks has become an increasingly important topic, according to the relevant data analysis: the larger the storage tank volume, the lower the steel consumption index per unit volume, the corresponding savings in tank construction investment, and the total area of the irrigation area is smaller, but the last for the economy is 125000m3 floating roof tank, 15000m3
And 100000m3 followed. According to the development status of China's petroleum and chemical engineering enterprises, the future development direction of storage tanks is large volume, localization, automatic welding (including matching with domestic steel, imported steel wire and welding equipment) localization.
The role of the storage tank is to select the type of storage tank according to different needs, different occasions, locations and the nature of various liquids.
In industrial enterprises and in daily life. Tanks are used as equipment for storing liquids and transporting them. With the expansion of industrial and agricultural production scale and the continuous development of modern cities, the application of storage tank equipment has become more and more extensive, and has become one of the important thermal equipment for the development of national economy. And the container that can store various objects, which is indispensable in society, is now being used by society, and it is still developing at a rapid rate.
